The BNP Paribas Fortis mission was quite particular because we have helped BNP Paribas Fortis throughout the whole project, from defining the strategy until the roll-out of the project.
We started the mission because of our Mobile Expertise and our willingness to share our knowledge with the internal team. The first phase was mainly consecrated to aligning the business criteria with the reality of the mobile world. We defined with BNP Paribas Fortis the different devices that needed to be supported and we defined the best way to ensure an optimized user-experience for most mobile users. This resulted in detailed functional analysis, wireframes and designs that served as a prelude to the actual development-phase.
The first POC saw the light only two months after the start of the mission (a Blackberry Gold prototype together with an iPhone 3 version).
During the development phase we delivered the necessary staff to help the internal team to deliver the necessary templates, designs and CSS-code that is so specific for mobile devices. During the testing phase we helped define the test cases and we were part of the beta-testing team.
During the roll-out we helped BNP Paribas Fortis in their Marketing Campaign by organizing a launch-event at the Mobile Monday sessions. The mobile community in Belgium were offered an exclusive sneak peak at the application one day prior to the official launch (on 19 October 2010). This resulted in a very positive buzz within the mobile community with general acknowledgment on the quality of the mobile website.
BNPPF decided to start this project only 9 Months ago.
Launched middle of October 2010, BNPPF IT team has not face any technical or security issue yet.
